Salma Hayek Pinault and her daughter Valentina Pinault are growing up together.

In fact, the Grown Ups actress and the 18-year-old acted more like sisters as they shared hilarious stories and playful jabs during a rare joint appearance.

As the mother-daughter duo embarked on a shopping spree on the Aug. 4 episode of Instagram’s Carversations series, Valentina quipped to Salma, “I’m cooler than you.”

But the Oscar nominee—who shares Valentina with husband François-Henri Pinault—didn’t disagree with the teen.

“I love finding things through you,” Salma told her daughter while shopping at a boutique clothing store. “Even when you were on Instagram and you were younger, the feed [helped] you to create your own style and taste cause you’re so artistic.”

The 59-year-old added, “It’s been lovely to see you grow, change and investigate yourself and rediscover yourself through the years.”

But despite Salma’s sentimental praise, Valentina kept her opinion blunt as she immediately critiqued her mom’s choice in shirt.
