Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo don’t want life’s biggest moments to blitz by. 

It’s why they made sure to celebrate their daughter Colette’s first birthday with the most important people in their life. 

“We had a little mini family get together,” McCaffrey told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the July 16 premiere of his new documentary series We Are Osos. “First taste of cake. It was great.”

But while her first exposure to birthday cake might feel like a significant moment, the San Francisco 49ers player said Colette wasn’t all that impressed. 

“She didn’t love it that much,” he admitted. “She loves chicken. So, I was like, let’s keep that as long as we can, loving chicken. But no, it was so much fun. We had just some family friends over. Had a blast.”

He also shares some insight into the 12-month-old’s milestones, including her use of the word “dada.”
