The body of a woman has been found after a house fire near the New South Wales southern border on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to a home on Brougham Street in Moulamein about 1.20am on Friday following reports of a blaze.
Fire and Rescue NSW arrived at the property and extinguished the fire.
When the home was searched, the body of a woman, who has not yet been formally identified, was found inside.
A crime scene has been established and police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police said a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
