A man has been found dead while three others have been rushed to hospital following suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a home.

Emergency services were called to the house on Penola Road at Mount Gambier, in South Australia, just before 9am on Saturday.

Four people were found unconscious, with a 55-year-old man dying at the scene.

‘Three other occupants were taken to hospital for treatment of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning,’ a South Australian Police spokesman said.

The three occupants were aged in their 50s through to their 70s.

The SA Police spokesman said the incident did not seem to be ‘suspicious at this time’.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
