Footage of Charlie Kirk murder suspect fleeing WILL be played in court today, after Tyler Robinson’s FIVE alleged confessions to killing were revealed

Surveillance footage allegedly showing Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect Tyler Robinson running across a rooftop and fleeing is set to be played in court Friday after a judge previously blocked it for being ‘altered.’

Utah District Court Judge Tony Graf, who is overseeing Robinson’s pre-trial probable cause hearings this week, previously ruled on Tuesday that prosecutors could not show the footage because they had added zooms and circled items of interest.

The judge said he was ‘concerned’ that the video ‘could become problematic’ if it was presented to a jury due to the editing.

Prosecutors insisted that the footage was accurate and the edits were ‘only added to make it easier to view,’ and on Thursday, Graf ultimately ruled that the edited version could be played.

Unedited versions of the surveillance footage have already been shown at Robinson’s preliminary hearings, but Kirk’s family attorney complained as they said it was too difficult to view as a zoomed-out wide shot.

Graf’s decision to allow the edited version of the footage came after prosecutors presented bombshell evidence alleging that Robinson had confessed several times to assassinating Kirk.

This included footage being played on Thursday showing Robinson’s former roommate and lover Lance Twiggs giving a police interview, where he claimed Robinson admitted he ‘wished he hadn’t done it.’

Twiggs also said in his video testimony that Robinson left him a handwritten note on the day Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025, which read: ‘I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.’

The alleged confession note was presented alongside text messages that prosecutors say Robinson sent on the day Kirk was shot, in which he also admitted to the crime.

In the texts shown in court, Twiggs told Robinson he did not believe the confession note, writing: ‘You’re joking right?… You weren’t the one who did it right?’

Robinson allegedly replied, ‘I am, I’m sorry.’

He then allegedly discussed trying to hide the evidence, writing that he ‘planned to grab my rifle’ from a ‘drop point’ near to the shooting scene.

‘If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence,’ he wrote, per the texts.

‘Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything in the news about them finding it. Will update you by midnight.’

Twiggs then asked Robinson how long he had been planning the shooting, to which he replied: ‘A bit over a week, I believe.’

Prosecutors also alleged that Robinson confessed to his parents, and then issued another confession in a chat room on the gaming platform Discord.

He allegedly wrote: ‘Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this. I’m surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments. Thanks for all the good times and laughs.’

Authorities said Twiggs quickly cooperated with investigators and offered his DNA for testing, and this week prosecutors said both Twiggs’ and Robinson’s DNA were found on a towel wrapped around the murder weapon.

After Twiggs’ video statement to the police was played, prosecutors presented text messages allegedly sent between Robinson and Twiggs after Kirk was killed

In Twiggs’ police interview footage, he said he first met Robinson in person in 2023 when they moved in as roommates, and they began dating roughly two months later.

He recalled on the morning Kirk was assassinated, Robinson left early in the morning and claimed he had a long work shift.

He said he didn’t hear from Robinson again until 11pm that night, when Robinson told him to look under his keyboard to find the alleged handwritten confession note.

In the alleged confession note, which Twiggs confirmed finding in his interview with police, Robinson referred to him by his chosen name ‘Luna,’ instead of Lance.

‘If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry. I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text,’ the note read, per the court filings.

‘I am likely dead, or facing a lengthy prison sentence. I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it. I don’t know if I will/have succeeded, but I had hoped to make it home to you. I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary.

‘I wish I could have stayed for you and lived our lives together.’

Twiggs recalled Robinson returning to their home by the next morning, and said Robinson was pacing around while avoiding questions about Kirk’s assassination.

Twiggs claimed Robinson eventually admitted to the assassination, began crying and told Twiggs ‘he wishes he hadn’t done it.’

Robinson said he was going to go to his parents or turn himself in.

In his police interview shown at Thursday’s hearing, Twiggs said he was not especially interested in politics, and said he and Robinson never previously discussed Charlie Kirk before the shooting.

He said Robinson would occasionally rant about Donald Trump and Republicans, but said the extent of their discussions about LGBTQ rights was about legislation the President was pushing.

When asked about engravings found on bullets at the shooting scene, Twiggs said Robinson had told him he was going on a hunting trip and asked for an engraving tool to carve the bullets for the expedition.

Twiggs said Robinson had talked about the hunting trip in general for months, then about a month before the shooting started talking about engraving bullets.

Investigators have also claimed to have found bullet casings engraved with political messages in the gun found near the scene.

One read: ‘Hey fascist! Catch!’ and another referenced a transgender furry meme, ‘notices bulge OwO.’

Another referenced the Italian anti-Fascist song ‘Bella Ciao,’ and another read: ‘If you are reading this, you are gay.’

Prosecutors pushed to release Twiggs’ police interview video as they allege Robinson assassinated Kirk because he was upset over the influencer’s conservative political views.

Twiggs was granted limited immunity in the case, meaning the statements he made to investigators cannot be used against him by prosecutors.

The pre-trial hearings have seen prosecutors lay out their case against Robinson, with Graf set to decide if there is enough probable cause to take the 23-year-old to trial.

Robinson has not yet pleaded in the case, and he faces the possibility of the death penalty if convicted.
