The news followed speculation that something was awry between the couple after Margaret was notably absent from the July 3 wedding of one of Jack’s closest friends and collaborators, Taylor Swift.
Margaret appears to have removed many photos of Jack from her Instagram page, which aligns with claims that the reported split “was more of her decision than his,” per a source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight. “They aren’t together right now,” the source said in the same report. “Things haven’t been great between them for a while.”
Another insider also told People this week that Jack and Margaret’s relationship was “rocky” from the start and has been “difficult” for some time. “They argue a lot, and between her career and him constantly being on the road or working late in the studio, it’s been difficult,” the source alleged.
On July 8, Jack was photographed in NYC still wearing his wedding band. And now, amid widespread speculation about what may be going on behind closed doors, another insider has spoken to People, assuring fans that there’s still a lot of love between Jack and Margaret.
“They love each other deeply and are very sweet to each other. They are going through this process with nothing but kindness and unity,” the source said.
“The rumors swirling around out there about them just aren’t true,” they added.
