A lawyer for the Kirk family filed a request demanding that all the evidence presented during Tyler Robinson’s pre-trial hearing be played in full and made available to the public.

‘For ten months, the Victim’s Family has waited for this preliminary hearing. Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk, and his grieving parents traveled to this courtroom for one reason: to be present at these proceedings and to bear witness to the evidence concerning the death of their husband and son,’ the filing stated.

‘At certain points throughout the preliminary hearing, the Kirk family sat in the room while evidence was admitted but not presented for their viewing. They were present in body yet denied the very thing their presence was meant to secure: their ability to meaningfully observe the preliminary hearing.’

The filing continued, ‘The Victim’s Family’s position is simple. At a minimum, every exhibit entered into evidence during the preliminary hearing must be visible to every person lawfully present in the

courtroom.

‘To receive evidence in a manner shielded from those seated in the courtroom – as happened today – is not transparency. And in the absence of transparency, speculation and conspiracy theories related to the tragic assassination of Mr. Kirk will continue to proliferate in

the public domain, breeding doubt and distrust in the judicial system. This is not what anyone should want.’

It comes after the judge ruled on Wednesday that video from Tyler Robinson’s transgender lover could be played in court with redactions.

The prosecution agreed to make the edits and said it plans to play the video in court on Thursday.

Kirk’s widow, Erika, and his parents, Robert and Kathryn, have been at court every day for the evidence hearing.

Matt and Amber Robinson have attended court every day to hear prosecutors’ case against their son, and to learn how his attorneys plan to fight.

His father is the one who convinced Robinson to turn himself last year after recognizing him in surveillance photos shared nationwide during a frenzied manhunt for Kirk’s killer.

A weeklong pre-trial evidentiary hearing for the man charged with killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk is set to resume on Thursday.

Court is scheduled to begin at 9am MT/11am ET.

Tyler Robinson, 23, is accused of shooting Kirk on September 10, 2022, in front of thousands of students at Utah Valley University.

During the hearing, prosecutors will aim to show they have sufficient evidence to proceed to trial.

Prosecutors are expected to provide bombshell testimony from Robinson’s transgender lover and roommate, Lance Twiggs, today.

So far, they have presented bombshell footage of Robinson’s movements the day of the shooting, questioned investigators and lawyers have argued over DNA evidence.

Once it’s finished, state District Judge Tony Graf must determine if there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to a trial.

If convicted, prosecutors have said they plan to seek the death penalty for Robinson after a judge denied the defense’s request to take it off the table on June 26.

He has not yet entered a plea.

Utah prosecutors are set to play a redacted version of testimony from Tyler Robinson’s trans lover and roommate today.

Judge Tony Graf ruled on Wednesday that video from Robinson’s lover and roommate, Lance Twiggs, could be published with about 15 minutes of redactions.

The prosecution agreed to make those edits and plans to play it in court today.

Defense attorneys fought against releasing the footage, arguing that prosecutors would characterize the statements as confessions and undermine Robinson’s right to a fair trial.

Prosecutors allege Robinson confessed in a note left for Twiggs that read: ‘I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.’

Robinson also allegedly sent a text to Twiggs saying he targeted Kirk because he ‘had enough of his hatred.’

Twiggs was interviewed by police on September 12, the day after Robinson turned himself in, then again on April 20.

He was given immunity for the statements, meaning what Twiggs said cannot be used against him in a potential criminal case.
