‘Minions & Monsters’ leads holiday box office despite franchise-low opening

Universal’s (CMCSA) “Minions & Monsters” topped the domestic box office over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, though the latest installment in the blockbuster franchise posted its weakest opening to date.
