For years, The Shoe Snob has been built around one simple idea: helping people understand good shoes. That idea has come through the blog, product reviews, unboxing videos, factory visits, shoe care guides, trunk shows, product curation, and the endless conversations that happen as people try to find the right pair of shoes for their wardrobe.

The more I have done this, the more I have realized that The Shoe Snob has always been more than just a blog. It has always been a point of view. An ethos, if you will. And now, that point of view is becoming its own shoe collection.

A New Direction for The Shoe Snob

I am pleased to introduce The Shoe Snob Shoes, starting with our first release: The Sandpoint Soft Sole Butterfly Loafer.

The Sandpoint is my take on the modern soft-sole loafer. It is relaxed, refined, and made for the new era of “smart-luxury” dressing. Not everything needs to be stiff, heavy, or overly formal anymore. People still want to dress well, but they also want comfort, ease, and versatility. That is where this shoe comes in and bridges the gap between the overpowering sneaker culture and the much smaller dress shoe world.

Introducing The Sandpoint Loafer

The Sandpoint is made in Italian suede, built with a soft sole, and designed to be semi-unlined with no heel or toe stiffeners. It has a supportive removable insole, a lightweight feel, and a flexible construction that makes it easy to wear from the start. The butterfly strap gives it a little more personality than a standard penny loafer (IMHO), while the added vamp piping gives each colorway its own small point of distinction.

This is not meant to be a traditional dress loafer. It is meant to be the kind of shoe you can wear with denim, chinos, linen trousers, tailored separates, or a more relaxed summer suit. It is smart without being stiff. Comfortable without being careless. Casual without losing refinement.

For this first release, we are offering the Sandpoint in eight suede colorways:

  • Black Suede with Black Piping
  • Dark Brown Suede with Dark Brown Piping
  • Sand Suede with Tonal Piping
  • Oyster Suede with Tonal Piping
  • Navy Suede with Black Piping
  • Navy Suede with White Piping
  • Deep Teal Suede with Black Piping
  • Tobacco Suede with Tonal Piping

How the Sandpoint Pre-Sale Works

To launch the collection, we are running a two-week pre-sale from June 29th through July 13th.

The reason for doing this as a pre-sale is simple. Rather than guessing blindly at which colors people want most, this allows us to gather orders first, see which colorways have the strongest demand, and then place the production order accordingly. It also allows us to offer the shoes at a better launch price.

During the pre-sale, all of the Sandpoint loafers will be offered at 20% off.

Once the pre-sale closes on July 13th, the production order will be placed. Production is expected to take approximately 4–5 weeks, with arrival estimated by the end of August. As these pairs are being ordered based on pre-sale demand, all pre-sale orders are final sale and non-refundable. Size exchanges will be allowed where available.

Not every color offered during the Sandpoint loafer pre-sale will necessarily become part of the first stock production run. The strongest-performing colorways will move into production for stock, while slower-selling options may be produced as made-to-order pairs based on demand.

The First Step for The Shoe Snob Shoes

This first release is an important one for me. It marks the beginning of a new direction for The Shoe Snob: one that combines education, curation, and product into something more complete. The goal is not to create endless models for the sake of it. The goal is to create thoughtful, wearable shoes that make sense for the way people actually dress, but incorporating more than just welted shoes.

The Sandpoint loafer is the first step.

The pre-sale is now live and will run until July 13th.

Thank you, as always, for following along, supporting the journey, and being part of what The Shoe Snob continues to become.
