Jennifer Garner Reveals Sweet 'What Makes Me Special' List She Wrote in Childhood: 'Actress, Peanut Butter Eater, Poet'

Jennifer Garner is reflecting on her upbringing in Charleston, West Virginia.

On Sunday, June 28, the 13 Going on 30 actress, 54, shared a school project that had been safely stored in her mom's closet via Instagram. The “What makes me special” task involved listing her best qualities and penning a poem.

Garner appeared to have received an “A” grade for the work, accompanied by a smiling photograph of her as a child.

“1. Actress, 2. Cat owner, 3. Clown, 4. Ice cream maker, 5. Peanut butter eater, 6. Piano player, 7. Poet, 8. Reader, 9. Sailor, 10. Skater, 11. Swimmer, 12. Violinist, 13. Writer,” she listed as her special qualities.

For her rhyme, Garner wrote, “The things I am, the things I am are all part of me. If they weren't, then would I be?”

“The things I am are really keen. Really, all in me and can be seen,” she continued.

“The things I am are special, too. They explain all about me, and not of you,” the poem concluded.

Garner shared the school project on her Instagram grid as well as her Stories.

“From Mom's closet in West Virginia. Number three kind of nails it. ❤️,” she captioned both posts, referring to calling herself a "clown".

It's not the first time that the Elektra star has shared the childhood photo, as back in 2020, she shared the snap on Instagram while joking about her budget-friendly haircut.

“This week I'm grateful for…..@hairbyadir. 😂♥️💇🏻‍♀️,” she captioned the post on Nov. 24, 2020, adding the hashtags, “#SometimesThe8DollarHaircutWorked 🙂 #SometimesItDidnt 😬 #WithVirtue, of course 😘😂.”

Garner's reflection on her upbringing comes after she honored her dad, William Garner, and the father of her children, Ben Affleck, on Father's Day, June 21.

She shared snaps of her dad, alongside several never-before-seen shots of Affleck with their three kids, Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13.

"My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream," Garner wrote on Instagram. "I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I'm happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift."

"Happy Father's Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads, too. ❤️," she concluded her heartfelt tribute.
