I’m A Celeb winner AngryGinge confronts ‘racist’ England fan at the World Cup – and complains ‘clothing brand owner’ wasn’t kicked out even after he reported his abuse

AngryGinge has hit out at the standard of stewarding at the World Cup after reporting a fan of alleged racism during England’s match with Ghana on Tuesday in Foxborough, USA.

AngryGinge, real name Morgan Burtwistle – who is a YouTuber and won last year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, took to social media to expose a supporter who was racist towards Ghana during the 0-0 draw.

It is unclear if the unidentified person in question is an England fan, but he was sitting among some Three Lions supporters.

‘We have a situation where the gentleman that is sat there is being racist [points to an empty seat in front of him],’ Burtwistle says in his MoreGinge YouTube video.

‘I’ve reported it to the steward because, kick it out is the saying, I will stand by that. So he’s going now getting his supervisor and we’ll see what happens. There’s no way he should ever set foot at a stadium or watch a football game ever again.’

Before the video then continues, the 24-year-old provides a message on the screen that read: ‘The man sat in front was making incredibly racist comments toward the Ghanaian national team. Due to this it was only right for me to stand up and deal with this.’

After initially being told that no action can be taken unless he says it again, Burtwistle informs his followers that due to his complaints that a team is now gathering to kick him out.

‘Apparently, the steward said he can’t kick him out unless he does it again. I said there’s no way on earth. All of us have heard it. He’s got to go. So we’re getting a team to kick him out now or something.’

As well as the incident, Burtwistle’s incredulity grows after being asked by the perpetrator to promote his brand.

‘He tried to get me to do a video to promote his brand as well. I’ll try and find the name of the brand, it’s run by a racist. So, we’ll try to expose everything we can.’

Following Burtwistle’s actions, the perpetrator can be seen apologising for his remark.

‘I’m sorry about my comment about Ghana, it won’t happen again,’ he tells Burtwistle – who is sitting one row behind him.

‘No it won’t happen again,’ retorted Burtwistle, ‘Because you’re going to get thrown out.’

Fearing that outcome, the fan asks: ‘Can we just forget about it?’ to which Burtwistle replies: ‘Forget about you being racist!? No, mate.’

The fan is eventually kicked out of his seat but somehow stayed and watched the match elsewhere inside the stadium, according to Burtwistle.

And upon leaving the ground himself, a fuming Burtwistle, condemned the American stewards for their actions as he left the stadium by concluding his video with: ‘It’s absolutely not good enough from the American stewards, the message before the game the message is kick it out – if you see it, say it.

‘I’ve gone and reported it, he’s not been kicked out of the stadium, we saw him as we left, he’s been allowed to watch the whole game after the things he was saying about the Ghana team.

‘I think it’s an absolute f***ing disgrace he’s been allowed to stay in after I had the evidence and five witnesses heard him say it.

‘It’s an absolute f***ing disgrace, it’s wrong on every single level that he can stay and get away with it. I did my part, I couldn’t have done any more.’
