EXCLUSIVE: Mia McKenna-Bruce (How to Have Sex) and Alex Hassell (Rivals) have been set to voice Audible Original thriller The Tutor from writer and actor Rosie Day (Outlander).

In The Tutor, “Eloise Hart returns to the secondary school where she studied under the mercurial brilliance of her former teacher Jack Collins. But Eloise isn’t here to teach the young minds of tomorrow, she’s here to burn this man from the inside out. When she discovers sixteen-year-old musical prodigy Olivia in her class, the echoes of the past begin to feel dangerously close. Rosie Day said: “I was inspired to write The Tutor by how often women’s trauma is dismissed, minimised, or misunderstood. Eloise’s story came from a desire to give voice to buried anger and the need for accountability. Rather than focusing solely on healing, I was interested in the darker, less socially acceptable response – revenge.”

She continued: “What does it mean for a woman to return to the source of her trauma not for closure, but to take control of the narrative that once silenced her? Ultimately, the novel is about reclaiming power in a world that often denies women the clarity or even the permission to name what happened to them. It asks whether revenge can ever bring resolution, or if the real battle is learning to trust yourself again when that trust has been broken.”

Best known for playing Mary Hawkins in hit Starz series Outlander, Day has is also known for Living The Dream, Misfits, Call the Midwife, Good Omens, The Sandman, Grantchester and Black Books.
