55 Best ’90s Summer Movies That’ll Make You Nostalgic

What it’s about: “Plump kids are lured into joining a posh fat camp with the promise of quick weight loss and good times, only to find that it is a woodland hellhole run by a psycho ex-fitness instructor.” —IMDb

Starring: Ben Stiller, Tom McGowan, Aaron Schwartz, Shaun Weiss, Leah Lail, Paul Feig, Kenan Thompson

Fan review: “It’s an absolute classic that was ahead of its time. When it came out, people weren’t ready for this type of comedy. It’s basically a Judd Apatow film but a kids’ version. This was a favorite for my sister and me. We can literally quote the entire movie, and we still watch it regularly to this day. She has kids now, and we watched it with her 13-year-old here recently, and he loved it, perfect humor for his age group. A little bit dirty, but not dirty enough that you gotta worry about him getting in trouble at school for repeating it. It should be more popular than it is, and it’s definitely a cult film for older millennials who grew up with it. One day, I feel like it will bust out and be more loved and watched by more.” —u/CryptographerBig7346
