With House of the Dragon season 3 coming out this Sunday (the 21st of June), we had the pleasure of sitting down with Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen) and Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) to discuss the upcoming new chapter of the much-loved series.

There is much speculation and excitement about the long-await Battle of the Gullet, an epic battle that fans cannot wait for in the upcoming series, so we asked how it was to bring that to life:

Matt: “On a pure film making sense, it was wonderful to see – they built a whole tank, and boat, and world and it’s got great scale and ambition and I think it’s going to be thrilling.”

Emma: “I do know from just looking at what they were trying to pull of out there, this is super unusual for television. They’re doing this practically, on camera – people don’t do that anymore. It’s the privilage of being on a show this size, that you can take that risk.”
