A lucky tourist from Atlanta is $10 million richer after wagering just $5 inside a Las Vegas casino.
According to a release, a guest at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, located near the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, won a total of $10,292,912.32 on the IGT Megabucks Wolf Run Eclipse slot machine on the morning of Tuesday, June 16.
The lucky visitor had been playing the slot for three minutes and wagered just $5 when the machine paid out. They celebrated the news with fellow guests and casino team members, the release added. They have not been identified.

The win is one of the largest slot jackpots ever awarded at the casino. Cami Christensen, president and general manager of Westgate Las Vegas, congratulated the winner, saying, "Las Vegas is built on unforgettable moments, and it doesn't get much more memorable than turning a $5 bet into more than $10 million."
"We're thrilled for our guest from Atlanta and love seeing these legendary stories happen at Westgate," she continued.

The hotel also shared the news on X, writing, "Congratulations to our newest multimillionaire. Around here, winners aren't just celebrated… they're made. Who's next?"
PEOPLE reached out to Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino for further comment but did not immediately hear back.
As impressive as the winner's feat is, they're not the first Vegas visitor in recent months to win millions after placing a $5 wager.

Last November, another guest at Resorts World Las Vegas won more than $11 million on IGT Megabucks Mega Vault, marking the first Megabucks jackpot to ever hit at the casino.
The winner had been playing the machine for 15 minutes, and their family was there to join them for the big moment.
The following month, a tourist bet $25 on a slot machine at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, winning over $1 million.
