Netflix’s library is packed with gripping thrillers, from the political drama A House of Dynamite to the intense survival thriller Apex, and the streaming giant continues to expand its lineup. Its upcoming thriller, Breakers, is from Clerkenwell Films, the same production company behind acclaimed hits like Baby Reindeer and The End of the F****** World. Set against the coastline of Western Australia, the series brings a refreshing story while introducing both familiar faces and rising talent. 

So, ahead of its release, here is a closer look at the cast of the show. 

Meet the faces behind Netflix Breakers

Antony Starr as Brando: The first actor announced to join the show is Antony Starr. He is best known for playing the iconic antagonist Homelander in the hit series The Boys. Starr appeared in several notable shows, including Banshee, Outrageous Fortune, and American Gothic. He is also reportedly the executive producer of the show. This will be his first show this year after his appearance in the last season of The Boys.

D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai as Eliot: The Emmy-nominated actor is best known for playing Bear in the FX series Reservation Dogs. His performance in the show also earned him an Emmy nomination. He is set to star in the upcoming show as Eliot, adding another notable role to his growing resume

Annabel Wolfe: Annabel Wolfe has previously appeared in Black Snow, Seven Snipers, and My Pet Dinosaur. She will appear as Harper in the psychological thriller.

Oliver Edis: Oliver Edis, who previously appeared in Gnomes, is also part of the cast and will play Flynn. 

The series will also serve as a reunion for several stars from Netflix’s Heartbreak High. Asher Yasbincek, Sherry-Lee Watson, and Brodie Townsend, who previously appeared in the teen drama, have joined the cast. Other actors set to appear in the series include Tyroe Muhafidin, known for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, along with David Howell, Tom Dawson, Lu Miller, and Eliza Learmonth.

For the filming of the thriller series, the cast was whisked all the way to the coast of Western Australia.

What is Netflix Breakers about?

The Netflix show, Breakers, follows two friends backpacking through Australia as they stumble upon what appears to be a perfect surf community led by a mysterious man. They are welcomed into the group. However, the problem begins for the two friends when they start to realize that bizarre things have happened after the disappearance of a person.

This begins a new journey for the two friends as they get stuck in a remote surf community, and they must find out the truth to survive. Breakers will also be the first Netflix show to be filmed in Western Australia. Release dates are yet ot be confirmed with a window of late 2026 now wide open.
