The Strix Scar 18 features 320W of total system power, with a 20 percent thicker vapor chamber on deck, in addition to 91 percent improved airflow via new tri-fan technology. Other key specifications of the device include 64GB + 64GB of DDR5 RAM, a 4K mini LED display capable of 240Hz refresh, Wi-Fi 7, a 90Wh battery, and 4TB + 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage.

The ROG Strix Scar 18 (2026) is Asus’ latest flagship gaming laptop, with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, and a 4K mini LED 240Hz display.


The ROG Strix G16 and the ROG Strix G18 are also new and improved, both featuring refreshed specifications, improved tool-less upgradability, and 90Wh battery packs. Along with the Strix Scar 18, they include an array of full-surround Aura RGB lights, Dolby Vision and Atmos support, Thunderbolt 5 compatibility, and PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD compatibility.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Asus’ ROG sub-brand, and the company is taking the opportunity to release a wide array of ROG-themed merchandise, limited-time PC components, and more in celebration of the milestone.

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 is particularly noteworthy with its improved display panel and other quality-of-life enhancements, as is the uniquely ornamented ROG G1000 Edition 20 gaming desktop, the ROG NIC 16 Edition 20 mini gaming rig, and the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 graphics card.

These “Edition 20” products all feature unique gold-accented stylistic flourishes, making for a visually striking set of hardware that looks great from both a distance and from up close. For the time being, there’s no word on pricing and availability, though unit quantity is expected to be limited.
