A Louisiana graduate broke into dance after receiving her diploma — and the exuberant moment has since gone viral.
A'Myria Marquee started dancing after accepting her diploma during a graduation ceremony at GEO Next Generation High School in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 19, per Storyful.
The joyful scene was captured on video and later shared on Instagram by Marquee's former teacher, Brittney Ford, who said she has known Marquee since she was in the first grade.

In the clip, Marquee can be seen dancing across the stage after receiving her diploma as classmates and attendees cheer her on.
“When you slammed the diploma down I knew it was up from there!” wrote Ford, who posts under the handle @poeticpaige35, in the video's caption.
The educator went on to express her pride in seeing her former student reach the major milestone after years of watching her grow.
“Ford Loves You Forever ♾️ & Always 🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ you know I'm crying!!!!” she added.

According to their website, GEO is a charter school that enables students to take college courses and attain professional certifications while working toward their high school degree — free of charge — in partnership with Baton Rouge Community College.
In a post on Instagram celebrating her recent academic accomplishments, Marquee wrote that she attained her associate's degree while in high school and will be starting college as a junior.
“Thank you mom for always believing in me, supporting me, and pushing me to be better every single day. None of this would be possible without you 💜” she added in the post.

While speaking to WAFB, a Baton Rouge CBS affiliate, Katie Grimes, GEO's college and career counselor, said that the school provides everything a student needs to succeed, including books, transportation, technology and tutoring.
“I never thought that we would be able to do the things that we're doing and to see it and to see it continuing to grow every year, it really makes my heart smile,” Grimes told the outlet.
