EXCLUSIVE: Who Do You Think You Are?, The Bachelor and First Dates are about to get new leases of digital life.
They are part of the 4,000+ hours of reality, dating and factual entertainment programming that Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) has sold to Little Dot Studios.
Expanding on an existing pact between the companies, the multi-year agreement will see All3Media-owned Little Dot license the content for its owned-and-operated network of digital channels.
WBITVP titles will be integrated into YouTube channels such as First Comes Love, Real Stories, Absolute History, Only Human and Absolute Docs.
The Warner Bros. Discovery-owned international production and sales group has been hot on its digital channels strategy, seeking deals across YouTube and Facebook, and launching full episode and hub channels.
“We see digital platforms as a critical growth engine for our content, and this expanded partnership with Little Dot Studios enables us to further unlock the value of our catalogue,” said Andrew Zein, EVP, Creative Format Development & and Sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production.
“By combining our premium IP with Little Dot’s expertise in audience development and monetisation, we’re able to reach existing fans of our shows in new ways, as well as find new audiences, and continue to build a sustainable digital business around our industry-leading formats.”
Connie Hodson, Director of Content Acquisitions & Partnerships at Little Dot Studios, added: “This expansion is an important step forward in our partnership with WBITVP. Through a joined-up, multi-platform approach, we’re able to grow audiences at scale while unlocking new revenue streams that support WBITVP’s wider digital growth ambitions.”
Little Dot Studios’ Digital Media Network is the UK’s second largest streamer by catalogue size, per JustWatch stats from last year. It has licensed more than 27,000 hours of content and currently houses more than 135 actively-managed digital broadcast channels, and seven FAST brands streaming across 130+ channels.
Little Dot has been singled out by Banijay, which is in the process of merging with All3, as a key component of future business.
