In the midst of a comeback season from missing over half the prior campaign, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark drew the ire of her coach amidst a poor shooting night.
A video posted to social media showed Clark getting into a tiff with her head coach, Stephanie White during a first-half timeout.
It’s not clear what was said between the two, but White appeared to be challenging Clark after she had a rough start to the game.
After the coach appeared to try holding the star guard accountable, Clark was seen talking back and then throwing her hands up.
White then kicked Clark out of the huddle, telling guard Raven Johnson to take the guard’s seat.
An indignant Clark was seen shaking her head in frustration at her coach while taking sips from her water bottle.

Clark finished the game with just six points while shooting a horrible 1-of-7 from the field
Clark shot a paltry 1-of-7 from the field – including going 0-of-2 from 3-point range – as the Fever fell to the newly-minted Portland Fire 100-84.
The Fever guard finished the night with six points, two rebounds and six assists to her name while logging only 22 minutes – just the fifth-most of anyone on her team.
Clark’s third season in the WNBA has been a mixed bag. On the plus side, she is fifth in the league in scoring with 20.1 points per game and leads the league in assists – recently becoming the fastest player to 500 assists in a career.
But Clark still leads the league in turnovers and is on track to finish the year with the second-most turnovers in a single-season in WNBA history. The record for the most in a season was set by Clark in her rookie campaign, when she coughed up the ball 223 times.
She’s also been publicly called out by the media and fans for her on-court antics – particularly her penchant for flopping – and attitude towards officials when calls don’t go her way.
The Fever have also been criticized for scratching Clark at the last minute for a May 20 game against the Fire, despite her not being listed on the injury report. This led to the WNBA warning the team, rather than penalizing them.
Clark has four days to get herself prepared for her next game against the Atlanta Dream – where she will face off against college rival Angel Reese.
Reese has been a welcome addition to Atlanta and is averaging a double-double for the third-place Dream this season.
