Toy-Inspired Espresso Machines : koiro

Burcu Irmak Kuzey is the creative mind behind the KOIRO, which is a concept for a playful looking espresso machine. Avoiding the usual look of coffee machines, which tend to be sleek and minimal, the KOIRO embraces a blocky and geometric form to strengthen its connection to the look of toys.

It also has simplified motigs as the icons which operate the machine, as if it was created for children. The most notable part of the design is the use of the bold tones, with simple geometric shapes. the KOIRO evokes a Bauhaus art energy. The basic shapes and vibrant colors that add some contrast also nod to the influence of Sicilian architecture as well.
