Vertical dramas may have cringey plots and absolutely wild dialogues, but a lot of them also have powerful female characters that the story is essentially built on—whether it’s the protagonist who was killed by her husband, who manages to get revenge after a freak accident makes time turn back, or it’s the nerdy plus-size girl who, though invisible in school, has dreams bigger than the halls can handle. We may have come far as a society, but there’s always that one misogynistic sentence or word that sets us two steps back. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have it in us to fight it.
