Olivia Rodrigo is feeling happier about the stage she’s in. 

Following rumors that she and Louis Partridge had split after two years of dating, the “Deja Vu” singer shared with best friend and former Bizaardvark co-star Madison Hu what “phase of love” she’s in right now. 

“Oh my god. I’m in the most important phase,” Olivia told Madison in an interview for Cosmopolitan published April 29, “the friendship love that I’m sitting right across from. Best friend, community love.”

The 23-year-old added, “Dating is just the cherry on top.”

Olivia—who dated her High School Musical: The Musical: The Series costar Joshua Bassett from 2019 to 2020—also shared what aspects of relationships she wished she’d learned about sooner.

“Patience. Things happen the way that they’re supposed to happen,” Olivia explained. “It’s not supposed to be white-knuckle.”

And while the Grammy winner didn’t confirm her current relationship status, she was seen grabbing dinner with Geese frontman Cameron Winter in Los Angeles April 14.
