A Hells Angels member from NSW has been charged with impersonating a former ADF soldier.
The 41-year-old man was arrested in Peelwood on Tuesday afternoon and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where he was later charged with falsely representing himself to be a returned soldier, sailor or airman.
The man was arrested under Strike Force Benson after detectives became aware of a man who had allegedly identified himself as being a former member of the Australian Defence Force.
Following inquiries, detectives, with assistance from the Australian Defence Force, learned the man had no records of military service with any branch of the ADF.
NSW Police have confirmed investigations are ongoing.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday.
Strike Force Benson was established in August 2025 by NSW Police’s State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad in response to ongoing criminal activity involving the Hells Angels OMCG.
