Young man is rushed to hospital after being ‘stabbed’ at nail salon: Woman, 21, is arrested


A 21-year-old woman has been arrested after a young man was reportedly stabbed at a nail salon.

The incident is understood to have taken place at the Lounge Nail Studio in Wokingham, Berkshire, on Tuesday afternoon.

Thames Valley Police rushed to the scene following reports of a stabbing.

Once emergency services arrived at the beauty parlour, they found the man with serious injuries.

The victim was then rushed to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. 

A woman from Wokingham has been arrested by officers on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in police custody. 

A police cordon around the nail salon has since been lifted.

The force has reassured the public that it was an ‘isolated’ incident.  

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: ‘We understand this is a concerning incident but there is still no threat to the wider public as it was isolated and it is believed those involved are known to each other.

‘We are also not looking for anyone else at this stage.’
