Social Change-Promoting Skateboarding Programs : Saved by Skateboarding

c, a Black-owned skate and streetwear brand founded by professional skater Stevie Williams in 2002, has consistently used its platform to drive positive social change through its Saved by Skateboarding program. This initiative focuses on empowering youth in underserved communities by providing skateboards and fostering creativity, independence, and resilience.

Through partnerships with organizations like the Harold Hunter Foundation, Rolling Loud, and the Uganda Skateboard Community, DGK has donated hundreds of skateboards to inner-city youth. The brand also honors influential figures, such as Darren Harper and his daughters, with pro model decks.

DGK’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities with initiatives like the Saved by Skateboarding program extends beyond Black History Month, as the brand reinvests profits year-round into initiatives that unite, inspire, and create lasting impact.
