If you’re looking for a laugh this month, then Watch With Us has you covered.
In July 2025, you should check out three movies starring Brendan Fraser, Aubrey Plaza and Joseph Gordon-Levitt that deliver laughs by the bucketful.
These chuckle-worthy comedies are currently available to watch on Paramount+ and Disney+. Two of them are for grown-ups only, while one is fun for the whole family. No matter your age, they’re all funny and are guaranteed to entertain you throughout the summer.

‘The To Do List’ (2013)
This one’s a raunchy sex comedy for the ladies, folks. Aubrey Plaza stars in this no-holds-barred teen comedy about Brandy Klark, a high school valedictorian who decides to gain more sexual experience before starting college in the fall. It’s a classic premise that you’ve seen in Superbad and American Pie, but since Brandy is a hyper-organized overachiever, she takes a systematic approach, writing down every single sexual act she can think of and making it her mission to complete them all with different guys.
The supporting cast is a who’s who of comedy stars, including Bill Hader as Brandy’s boss at her summer job, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Donald Glover as some of her sexual conquests, Rachel Bilson as Brandy’s older sister, and Connie Britton and Clark Gregg as her parents.
Though it’s not exactly a profound movie, The To Do List manages to squeeze in an empowering message about how much sex is overemphasized in our culture and how girls should feel free to make choices about it at their own pace. That’s nice and all, but we’ll mostly just remember the scene where Brandy screams “Aloe vera” in ecstasy during a sunscreen-centric fantasy. It’s an underrated comedy that checks every box, as it were.

‘Don Jon’ (2013)
While The To Do List turns sex into a (very funny) joke, Don Jon emphasizes the difference between exaggerated sexuality and real human connection. This 2013 movie, which Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed and starred in, follows a womanizing bartender who is addicted to hardcore pornography. When he starts dating demanding perfectionist Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson), he begins to confront what he wants out of his relationships.
Facing pressure from his friends and family to settle down with Barbara — Tony Danza and Glenne Headly play Jon’s hilariously overbearing parents — Jon finds an unexpected connection with an older woman (Julianne Moore) in a community college class.
For a movie that’s ostensibly about porn addiction, Don Jon is poignant, thoughtful and witty, with better-than-expected performances and a message about cultural expectations around sex that resonates even more today than it did in 2013.

‘George of the Jungle’ (1997)
Ok, that was a lot of sex in those first few movies, but have no fear — the only thing sexy about George of the Jungle is the fact that it stars Brendan Fraser in a loincloth. (Though we’ll grant you, that’s pretty darn sexy.) Otherwise, this movie is a hilarious, family-friendly comedy about a simple-minded hero who was raised by animals in the jungles of Africa.
Hilariously self-aware and constantly making fun of itself, George of the Jungle is one of our favorite family comedies that only gets funnier the more times you watch it. Between the fourth-wall-breaking narrator and the campy special effects, it successfully walks that oh-so-thin line between stupid and silly. Add in a little romance with Leslie Mann as the kind-hearted heiress Ursula, and you’ve got an underrated comedy classic that totally holds up.
