“Found out what it feels like to be the injury update instead of reporting it. 10-day IL, forearm discomfort,” she continued, adding, “(PS I'm fine 😂 thanks to the O's medical staff for the wrapping of my arm and ice all game! 🧡)”
The post featured a video of Whitaker icing her arm, as well as another video of a medic wrapping the arm in a bandage. She also shared a photo of herself smiling with the bandage on full display.
MLB and the Baltimore Orioles did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment on the incident.
The Orioles ultimately won the game in a 7-4 victory, and Rutschman was 2-for-5, per Fox News Digital's OutKick.
